Միլիոնից մեկը. Կիսով չափ կարմիր, կիսով չափ դեղին խնձորը Նոր Զելանդիայի աստղն է դարձել

Հետաքրքրասեր այցելուները հավաքվել էին Նոր Զելանդիայի փոքրիկ մթերային մի խանութում՝ տեսնելու բնական հազվագյուտ հրաշքը. խիմերային խնձոր՝ կեսը կարմիր, կեսը դեղին։

Գույների միջև գրեթե կատարյալ սահմանով եզակի միրգը հայտնաբերվել է մայիսի կեսերին՝ Red Braeburn խնձորների մեկ այլ խմբաքանակի բեռնաթափման ժամանակ։ Հայտնաբերումը տեղի է ունեցել Sunshine Corner Market-ում, որը գտնվում է Քրայսթչըրչի արվարձան Մեյրեհաուում։

Խիմերային խնձորները համարվում են աներևակայելիորեն հազվագյուտ. գիտնականները գնահատում են, որ այս մուտացիան տեղի է ունենում միլիոն խնձորից մեկից ավելի պակաս դեպքերում։ Այս երևույթը պտղի զարգացման վաղ փուլերում տեղի ունեցած ինքնաբուխ գենետիկ սխալի արդյունք է։ Պտուղը սկսում է միաժամանակ ձևավորվել երկու բոլորովին տարբեր գենետիկական կոդերով բջիջներից, որոնք պատասխանատու են պիգմենտացիայի համար, ինչի հետևանքով խնձորը բառացիորեն բաժանվում է երկու լիովին անկախ կեսերի։

Խանութի սեփականատեր Հեզերը խոստովանել է, որ ընդամենը մի քանի օրվա ընթացքում երկգույն խնձորը դարձել է տեղական աստղ։

«Եղել են դեպքեր, երբ մարդիկ եկել են մեզ մոտ, վերադարձել տուն և ամեն ինչ պատմել իրենց սիրելիներին։ Իհարկե, նրանք չեն հավատացել նրանց, ուստի միասին են վերադարձել։ Հաճախորդների մեծ մասը անչափ հիացած է, բոլորը անընդհատ լուսանկարում են այն։ Այս խնձորը պարզապես գրավել է մարդկանց երևակայությունը»։

Հեզերը հավելել է, որ սա բնության առաջին նման հրաշքն է, որին ինքը հանդիպել է իր ողջ կյանքում, չնայած իր ընտանիքը երկար ժամանակ զբաղվել է բանջարեղենի բիզնեսով։

Բանը հասել է նրան, որ անսովոր միրգը շրջապատվել է քաղաքային լեգենդներով։ Հեզերի խոսքով՝ որոշ սնահավատ հաճախորդներ այժմ հատուկ խանութ են գալիս և խնդրում են դիպչել խնձորին՝ «հաջողության համար», նախքան վիճակախաղերին կամ մրցույթներին մասնակցելը։

Առայժմ եզակի մրգի կյանքը երկարացվել է սառնարանի շնորհիվ, որտեղ այն անցկացնում է իր ժամանակի մեծ մասը։ Այնուամենայնիվ, Հեզերը նշում է, որ ժամը մոտենում է. առաջիկա օրերին խանութի սեփականատերերը ստիպված կլինեն դժվար որոշում կայացնել՝ փորձել ինչ-որ կերպ պահպանել միրգը պատմության համար, թե՞ կիսով չափ կտրել այն, որպեսզի վերջապես պարզեն, թե ինչ տեսք ունի այս գենետիկ անոմալիան ներսից։
